Cakewalk by bandlab reddit5/10/2023 ![]() Just like any tool, every time you use it - it will feel less foreign and more familiar. But if you do find it overwhelming at first, try using it a little every day. The beauty is that it's all there ready to use, and you don't have to manage a million different VST plugin windows like you would in every DAW.Ĭakewalk is no harder than any other professional DAW to learn. What the ProChannel offers is a bunch of basic (but critical) effects all in one. My favorite aspect of Cakewalk is the look, feel, and general workflow (once you get comfortable with it) and especially the ProChannel. Cakewalk is in the category of "traditional DAW" so it's more like Studio One or Reaper - NOT FL Studio or Ableton. Every DAW has similarities and unique differences. The DAW market is a competitive space now and there are tons of options. It will have a learning curve that the Bandlab app doesn't have, but that's a good thing because the difference we're talking about is that Cakewalk is a professional DAW. There's Bandlab the website/social platform and then there's the Bandlab app which is kind of a simple consumer type mini-DAW (?)īut it's Cakewalk you really want to be using.
